It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Troy A Pero, who passed away peacefully at home in Little Bras d’Or, March 27th 2021, surrounded by family. Born in Sydney Mines, April 3rd 1971, Troy is the son of Butch and Patsy Pero of Alder Point. He was a member of St Joseph’s Perish, Bras d’Or.
Those who knew Troy, knew his love for life and his family. His precious smile, contagious laugh, and deep voice you could hear from a mile away. Troy was a hard worker, dedicated father and husband, long time member of Local 92. Troy loved the outdoors. Fishing, and camping were what he enjoyed most.
Troy is survived by his wife Willina, and daughters Sarah and Emily who were his pride and joy. Siblings, Kerry Anne Pero, Roxanne Pero, Paul Pero, and Patrick Pero, as well as nieces and nephews. Troy leaves behind a community that loves him dearly, especially his best friend Leigh Blinkhorn AKA “Skippy, fishing with friends.” Fly high to our hero and fire away. Cremation has taken place under the care of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens, and a graveside service will take place at a later date.
