Thelma Frances Nurse, 67
It is with sorrow that the family of Thelma Frances Nurse announce her unexpected passing on July 4 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Thelma was born October 22, 1952 to the late Earl and Agnes (Campbell) MacMullin, Sydney Forks. Lovingly remembered by her partner Ed Farrell, sisters Earlene (Bill) Gill, Blackett’s Lake, Marilyn MacMullin, Halifax, and brothers Jackson (Susan) MacMullin, Montreal, Warren (Barbara) MacMullin, Sydney Forks, children Joey McInnis, Lisa MaInnis, step-children Don, Kathy, Sandy, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Thelma was predeceased by her husband Ron Nurse, her brother Edward MacMullin and her sister Sandra Long.
Thelma volunteered with the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 151. She was an avid card player and enjoyed time spent with friends. Thelma was previously employed at Tim Horton’s, Sydney River and Walmart, Sydney River.
A gathering will be held at a later date. Memorial donations can be made to Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 151.
