Obituary

With heavy hearts, we the family announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Erickson Sr on December 15, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Sydney, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Mary (MacIsaac) Erickson. Bob chose a career as a mechanic and got to know many people over the years. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 49 years, Lilly (McGarity); son, Robert Jr (Cindy); daughters Elizabeth and Patricia (Chad); grandchildren April (Roderick) Benoit, Robert (Morgan), Jason, Emily, Rosalee, William, Alice, Isaiah, Theron, Gabriel and Willow; siblings Marilyn (Bill) Gadd, Sydney; Linda (Murray) Chandler, Ontario; Stanley (Jean) Erickson, Ontario. He also leaves behind many great grandchildren and nieces, nephew's and in-laws.

Besides his parents, Bob was predeceased by sisters Gwen Richer and Sandra Erickson; brothers Terry, Gary, Victor and Jimmy.

The family will have a gathering to celebrate his life on Wednesday, December 23 between 11:00-2:00 & 4:00-6:00 at 437 Keltic Drive, Sydney. We ask that you extend your condolences while respecting current Covid restrictions.
