Martin "Jimmy" Cameron

January 17, 1928 ~ April 14, 2020 (age 92)

Cameron, Martin James (Jimmy)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Dad on April 14, 2020 at his home in Caribou Marsh.

Born in Sydney in 1928 he was the son of the late Joseph & Lily Cameron.
Dad worked for many years as a stationery engineer at the City of Sydney Hospital until his retirement. One of his favourite stories to tell was how he used to deliver groceries by horse and wagon when he was fifteen.
He lived on Harold Street in a home he and mom built for 63 years until her passing in 2018. He has longed to be re-united with her so it is only fitting that he passed away on what would have been their 69th wedding anniversary.

Dad is survived by his children Judith Allen (Bob) Sydney, Beverly White (Glenn),  David Cameron (Rose), Edwina Reid (Chris) all from Alberta, Esta Jean MacIntyre (Darrell) Sydney. Sisters Barbara Robinson, Tacoma WA ,Faith MacInnis Glace Bay , brother Russell, Sydney as well as his much loved grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Besides his parents Dad was predeceased by his wife Esta (Watt) brothers Donald, Teddy, Bernie ,Art and William (in childhood) sister Mary and granddaughter Jamie (in infancy).
We would like to acknowledge and thank Palliative Care and the VON for their kindness and support in our time of need.
At his request there will be no visitation and burial will take place at a later date.
