Leonard Dixon

October 11, 1948 — December 16, 2020

With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden and peaceful passing
of Leonard Kelson Dixon, born October 11. 1948 of South Harbour, Cape Breton, at
Victoria County Memorial Hospital in Baddeck on Dec 16 th , 2020.
He was the son of the late Thomas and Evangaline (Petrie) Dixon and survived by his loving
wife of 50 years Irene (Stuckey) Dixon, they proudly raised their 2 children Glenn
(Aimee) and Lisa (Lonnie). His treasures were his grandchildren, Allen, Kyra, Tessa,
Thea and Ellanor, also his special little fur-buddy Nyree. He was survived by sisters
Evelyn, Deborah, Jean, Nina and brother Calvin. Along with many nieces and nephews
that he cherished deeply. Also, he had many close friends that he considered family.
He enjoyed fishing, row boating, and four wheeling with the kids, he was an avid reader,
he loved early mornings visits with his family, and picking berries, always enjoyed his
sweet treats and especially liked making people smile, he loved his guitar and live
music and taking little drives in the old truck with his furry friend.
As per his wishes there will be no visitation and cremation has taken place under the care of Forest Haven. In lieu of
flowers donations can be made to the to Buchanan Memorial Hospital and/or Victoria
County Memorial Hospital in his name.
