Joseph O'Handley

On August 09, 2021, Blaise O’Handley passed away at the age of 68.

Born in North Sydney, Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Alex and Leona O’Handley, Barrachois.  He was predeceased by his siblings Stephen, Leon, John, Ronald, Sandra and Hugh & George in infancy.

Blaise is survived by his wife, Debby (Henrich); son, Charles (Savannah), grandsons Lennox, Thatcher, Ellis and a fourth grandson due in October; daughter, Kathlene (Paul Sampson), granddaughters, Renee and Genevieve; sister, Anicetus (Vincent Jankowski); and brothers, Alex (Colleen) and Francis.

Blaise enjoyed his career with CNR and more recently as a CBVR School Board special needs bus driver before enjoying retirement life and travelling.   Blaise loved sharing stories with family, friends and neighbours.

Heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital for their excellent care of Blaise in recent weeks.
