It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Joseph Patrick MacIsaac on September 6, 2020 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Joseph was born November 27, 1953 to the late Cornelius and Agnes (Roach) MacIsaac. He is survived by his loving wife Karen (Oikle) MacIsaac, and step daughter Michelle Kelly (Niall), UK; son Joey, daughters Rhonda and Kimberly and his grandchildren.; very special brother-in-law Kelly Oickle (Emily), West Chezzetcook; Stephen Oickle (Jeannie), Sydney; sister-in-law Alice MacNeil (John), Dartmouth; brothers Cornelius (Betty), Sydney; Francis (Monica), Glace Bay; and Dan Joe, Quebec; sisters Madeline Dillon, Port Morien; Josephine Nearing (Wayne), Sydney, and Jeanette, Glace Bay, and many nieces and nephews; as well as his special fur baby Sophie.

Besides his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his son Mark and sister Louise MacIsaac.

At Joseph’s request, there will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place and no service is planned. Arrangements have been entrusted to Forest Haven.

If desired, donations in memory of Joseph can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton

The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Especially Dr. Myatt and the nurses of 4-A, and the cancer centre for the care given to Joseph during his illness. A very special thanks to Stephen and Jeannie Oickle for all their endless hours of care and support.
