It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of John Myles MacLeod
on Saturday, January 4 th , 2020 from a short battle with cancer.
He passed peacefully at home with his family by his side.
Myles was born in Neil’s Harbour, N.S. and raised in Ingonish.
He was a fisherman, carpenter, and avid hunter.
Myles had a great sense of humour, was quick witted and always had a smart-ass
comeback. His daughters Fern and Pam were his pride and joy.
Loving father of Fern Roulston (Scott), Pamela Miner (Mike), Grandfather to Carley
Coulombe (Corey), Chanel Kerr (Kris), Amber Sandrin (Matt), Andrew Mac Leod
(Courtney), Cory Mac Leod (Sara), Evan Miner and four great-grandchildren.
Survived by brothers Nelson, and Donald (Brenda).
Myles was predeceased by his parents Bert and Viola MacLeod as well as eleven
brothers and sisters.
He will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
There will be no service as per Myles’ wishes.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
