Edward Peddle

It is with heavy hearts the Peddle Family announces the peaceful passing of our Father, Grand Father
and Great Papa at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Sydney; he was the son of the late Stan
and Violet Peddle.
Edward started his life’s journey 84 years ago growing up in Sydney. Then went on to Dartmouth for his
mechanics diploma where he met Lois then married, settled in Sydney and raised a family. He pursued
his career as an automotive mechanic eventually retiring from Cape Breton Chrysler.
As a child to his adult years he spent many summers on the Mira. He much enjoyed taking boat rides
along the Mira river. He enjoyed travelling and going to hockey games and spending time with family,
helping all with our mechanical problems.
Edward is survived by his son Kevin ( Margaret Maxner),Mira, daughter Joanne ( Blair) Clarke ,Sydney.
His Grandson Wesley, granddaughter Christianna (Philip Ozvald), Anastasia, Jessica (Kyle) Brennan, Erin,
Nicole, and Megan. Great Grandchildren Malik, Samira, Kingsley and Emma. Sister, Shirley (Floyd)
Matheson, Albert Bridge, and several nieces and nephews. Loving Companion Jackie MacPherson (New
Waterford) and his extended family, Sandra (Wesley), Joanne (Robert “Yacky”), Vernon ( Bernice),
Jimmy, Jacqueline (Steve). His beloved ‘fur baby” Mocha was devoted to him.
Predeceased by his wife Lois (MacNeil), son Craig, his brother Gordon (Nancy), and sister Carol Anne
(Charles)Baxter.
He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Following Edward’s wishes cremation has taken place. We will have a Celebration of Life when Covid 19
