It is with great sorrow that The Dove Family has to announce the sudden passing of our beloved mother, sister, grandma and great grandma, Yvonne Dove, 78. This occurred at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in the early morning on March 16, 2026. 

She was the daughter of the late Russell and Ethel Boutlier. She is survived by her children; Clarence (Patricia), Russell (Coleen), Troy (Sherri), Kim (David), Tracy (Mike), Melvin and by 14 loving grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie, Veronica and Anna (Ronnie), and predeceased by her sisters Geraldine and Monica, and her grandson Mark.

Yvonne was born in Sydney Mines and worked her young adult life in the fishplant where she met her future husband Clarence, known by everyone as Red. They were a loving and devoted couple and instilled strong family values in their children. They reached their 60th wedding anniversary just days before his passing. Second only to her family, her next great love of her life was bingo. She was so grateful to be able to go on adventures travelling with her sister later in life and having her grandkids and great grandkids visit her often. She was always funny, helpful and never had a harsh word about anyone. She loved to joke around and had a great sense of humour. 

All of our hearts are broken at her sudden loss and she will be deeply missed and will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew her and loved her.
