Winnifred Ann Gatza

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Winnifred (Winnie) Gatza. 

Born in New Waterford, she is the daughter of the late John Lanceleve and Harrietta (Jackalogue) Lanceleve.  

Known lovingly as Winnie to everyone, she was a superb homemaker, cook and baker. She took pride in everything she did. 

Winnie enjoyed having fun and laughter with her family and she brought them much joy and laughter through her wonderful and funny stories. 

Winnie is survived by her daughters Carol (Shelley), Brenda, Winnie (Mark) and Bertha (Kevin). 

She is survived by her grandchildren Lloyd (Samantha), James (Danielle), Tiffany (Jonathan), Michael, Brynn, Mya (Cody), Jonathan and Lola, as well as her great-grandchildren Lydia, Sawyer, Theodora and Thatcher. 

She is survived by her Lanceleve siblings Lena, Rita (Fred), Desire, Felix, Mary (John), Laura, Jeannie, Johnny and Angelina, and her many nieces and nephews. 

Winnie is also survived by Ray who was a dear friend to her.   

Besides her parents, Winnie is predeceased by her husband John Gatza, her brother Victor in his infancy and several sister in-laws and brother in-laws. 

There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service and celebration of life will take place at a later date.

Winnie, our mother, grandmother, sister and friend, we love you and miss you and will forever hold you in our hearts.
