Wilfred Patrick Hines

On the morning of Tuesday June 27th our husband and father Wilfred Hines received his angel wings, with his wife and family by his side. Wilf ‘Wissie’ is survived by his wife (the love of his life) of 58 years Sharon (Woods) Hines, his daughters Brenda Hines (Dave Ireland) and Patti (George) Hayes. Proud Papa to his four special grandsons Carter, Kyle, Mitchell, and David, Three beautiful great granddaughters Athena, Addison, and Lexie.  His sister Katie (Gerald) Vienneau. His sisters-in-laws Gertie Hines, Norma (Sheldon) MacDonald, Evelyn McLeod, Lorraine (Tommy) Head, several nieces, and nephews.

Wilf is predeceased by his parents Patrick ‘Paddy’ and Beatrice (Boudreau) Hines.  His brother John and sister Clare.  He is also predeceased by his in-laws Jack and Evelyn Woods, brothers-in-law; Billy, Albert and Leonard Woods.

Wilf worked many years in Ontario and enjoyed camping with friends.  He was also known for his love of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Blue Jays.  In 2013 Wilf decided to retire and follow his dream of returning home to New Waterford.

In following with Wilf’s wishes, cremation has taken place at Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. Interment will take place at Union Grove Cemetery on Saturday July 1st at 

2:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Wilf’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
