With great sadness, we regret to announce the passing of Theresa (Terri) Ann Doolan of Sydney, NS, on August 10, 2022. She was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Antinello) Doolan.
From a young age, Terri was surrounded by a loving family, with many relatives. Through the years, family would call upon her to help with long term needs during various illnesses and she would be there to look after her father, mother and other family members. She gave up her career at Carlton Cards in Ontario to help family and return to Cape Breton. During her own health issues, her will and determination was something to behold. In the 1990’s, Terri tracked down her biological Groves Family and she has been cherished since. Terri had a zest for life and was always the center of attention with her sense of humour, unique laugh and overall good nature. She loved to camp, ride her HOG and attend bike rallies. She also enjoyed being a part of The Pensioners Club, loved a cold beer, dancing and playing darts. She was a fierce animal lover and proud mom to Harley and Cally Cat.
In Theresa’s own words. “A huge thank you to the Red Cross, City Wide Taxi, Handi-Trans and EHS Services. Special thank-you to my dialysis family for the love and care over the past 7 years. Thank you to the clinical staff, physicians, RNs, cleaners, and office staff. Thank you to Jeanie MacIsaac for your guidance and compassion. Thank you to my nieces and nephews along with my Doolan Family that have helped along the way. To for all the phone calls, treats, etc. Special thanks to Aggie, Joey, Tony, Jeannie, Jason, Wendy, Jody and Rene. Now that my journey has come to an end, a huge thank you to everyone and may the lord bless you all.”
Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. There will be no services upon Theresa’s request. Donations may be made to the SPCA
