It is with heavy hearts we announce Susan Grant (Marsh), 73, of Sydney passed away April 18th 2026 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Born in Mill Creek to Frank and Mary Marsh. She may have lost her long battle with cancer however she fought with determination, grace and a strength that inspired everyone who knew her. Susan known better to some as Sue was a dedicated and loving mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Her love for her family and friends was admiral. She taught herself to crochet and learned to do it so well there will be products of her craft and the love she poured into them for many years to come. She made some for family and sold lots at craft shows and flea markets. She had a warmth and humor about her that drew people in.

Susan is survived by her daughter Julie Grant, grandsons Ethan Giles, Kale Grant, Ryan Grant and Jayden Grant, brother Kevin Marsh; sister Dora Mae Marsh & Paul; sister Sharon LaRose & Dave who will carry her memory forward with love. She was predeceased by son Jason Grant, grandson Caden Giles and sisters Patsy Marsh, Paullette Marsh (Gallant), Honey Marsh, Carmella Marsh, brothers Clifford Marsh and Wayne Marsh.

The family would like to thank the staff of 4B and palliative care for their kindness and support and the residents of Tillock Drive for years of kindness and friendship. Cremation has taken place and there will be a family gathering at a later date to celebrate her life.
