It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Stephen Campbell at the age of 70, on Feb 28, 2026.

Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late James and Petronella Campbell.

He worked in the forestry industry for a number years and as a bartender at Branch 3 Legion in Glace Bay.

Steve is survived by his loving wife Cindy and his stepdaughter Crystal Thompson (Bruce) and grandchildren Gideon and Willow.

Also, he was survived by brothers Michael (Marion), Aubrey, Gary (Eileen), Paul (Debbie), sisters Diane, Teresa, Marlaine Adiem (Salam),  Alice Lepage (Douglas), Cheryl Hutchings (Gerald) as well as many nieces and nephews. Steve was predeceased by his sister Carolyn and brothers James.

Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, March 12 at the Caledonia Hall, Pitt Street in Glace bay, from 1-3pm. Light refreshments to follow.

The family want to thank the doctors and staff at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and also the staff at Harbourstone Nursing home where Steve spent his last three years.
