It is with great sadness that we the family share that Sharon Lynn McPhee, at the young age of 48, has passed on March 11th 2024, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.
Sharon was raised in Reserve Mines; she was the daughter of Isabel and the late Omer McPhee.
Sharon loved her family with all her heart . Her son Cody was her pride and joy. She was very private and quiet, but a true friend to many. No one was more loving than Sharon or had a bigger heart.
Sharon is survived by her loving and devoted partner Dwayne MacLellan and her son Cody McPhee. She is also survived by her mother Isabel McPhee ;her mother-in-law Johnena MacLellan; sister Laurie (Derreck) Parsons; brother Kevin; sister in law Tammy McPhee; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and many friends; one being her life long best friend who has kept in-touch till the end, Wendy Marsh.
Sharon was predeceased by her father, Omer McPhee; her brother Francis McPhee; maternal grandparents Len and John Thomas; paternal grandparents Johnny and Anniemay McPhee.
Cremation has taken place. Honouring Sharon's wishes there will be no funeral or memorial service. She wished to be buried with her dad, at a private family burial in the spring .
A special thank you to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital ICU nursing team for the care and support. Along with Dr Hebb & Dr Klassen for their expert medical care and kindness .
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sharon’s name can be made to SPCA, Alzheimer’s Society ,donate to the charity of your choice or buy a homeless person a meal.
