Ryan Matthew Thomas Marsh

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the peaceful passing of Ryan Matthew Thomas Marsh on March 3, 2023 after a courageous battle with brain cancer.

Ryan will lovingly be remembered by his parents Reginald and Mary Marsh, His “Baby Girl” Grace, and her mother Carrie, Brother Trevor (Jacklyn), and their children Mason, Sophie, and Nate; His Love Marylynn Vickers and her boys; Wyatt and Chayce, along with special pal Ollie. His nieces; Jenna, Jocelyn, Ashley,  and nephew Jonah, as well as his Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, friends, especially  Brian and Laurette, Steve and Trisha, Eric, Paul and Jeff.   Ryan was predeceased by his special nephew Kellen.  

Ryan was raised in Alder Point where he loved to ride motorbikes, build cabins with his buddies & jam in the basement. Ryan played hockey with the school team in his teen years. When he got a little older Ryan could most likely be found at Munchies making one mean pizza.  Ryan later went on to become a great carpenter and handyman. Ryan developed a love for playing drums after being taught by his big brother. He became a fantastic drummer playing in a band now called “Full Circle,” before his illness.

Ryan's pride and joy was his one & only “baby Girl,” Grace.  Together they enjoyed many pillow fights, snuggles and ice cream dates. Ryan enjoyed trivia nights, the beach, and a good cup of tea.

He never complained, always had a laugh, a big smile and a smart remark for those he loved the most.

Ryan was not one to fuss so as per his request there will be a Celebration of Life at the Bras D’or Hall on Monday March 20^th from 6-8pm, where his friends will play some live music in his honor. Burial will take place at a later date.
