It is with great sadness that we announce that Robert “Bob” Davis passed away in his home on December 8, 2025 at the age of 75. Bob’s life was a testament to love, kindness, hard work and strength. He was born in Baddeck, Cape Breton, on August 21, 1950 to the late Richard and Eva (Phillips) Davis. Raised on the family farm in Baddeck, he later came to Halifax and worked as a carpenter and tradesmen building houses, furniture and conducting renovations. Further into his career he would own his own window and door business.
In Halifax he met and married the late Sharon Young. Together they raised 3 children, Jason, Jarrett and Ashley. He was a devoted father and husband who had the knack for fixing anything.
After the death of Sharon, Bob was fortunate to find the love of Nancy. Together they traveled and enjoyed each other's company. Bob and Nancy found their way back to Cape Breton where they ran a successful business.
Bob was an avid outdoorsman, spending considerable time fishing, hunting and enjoying his cottages with his best friend, Doug Boutilier, family and friends. He had a love of music, hockey and butterscotch sundaes.
Bob is survived by his wife Nancy Davis, His children Jason (Lucy) Davis, Jarrett (Lori) Davis, and Ashley (Jeff) Hendsbee, as well as step-daughters Teaka (Mike) Wiancko and Shannon Broughm. Grandchildren Keira, Raelyn, Aeden, Cian, Rayna, Easton, Brielle and Willow. Predeceased by his loving first wife Sharon (Young) Davis of 42 years.
He is survived by his brother Len (Pauline) Davis, sisters Claudia (Danny) Dionne, Kaye (Shane) Toms, Peggy (Keith) Long, and Linda (Ken) Flynn, inlaws, cousins and nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by brother Roy Davis.
Bob loved his family greatly. He sacrificed and consistently gave everything to ensure he could always deliver for his family. Dad, we love and miss you. You will forever be in our hearts.
