Pauline Bernadette Somers

It is with broken hearts that we share the passing of Pauline Bernadette Somers (Lush). Born to the late John and Sara (King).

Mother to Diane Moore, Gail Maloney, Kelly (Otis) MacNeil, Janet, and Shirley, all of Sydney, and son Larry (Cindy) Somers, of Cole Harbour.  Grandmother to 11, great-grandmother to 17.  Pauline is also survived by sisters; Delores ‘Doll’ Penney, Theresa Farrell, Margie Bethune, sisters-in-law; Elsie, Gloria and Joan Lush.

Pauline was predeceased by her husband of 67 years Lawrence, brothers; Percy, Jack and Bernie, sisters; Cecilia Oliver, Katherine Bartlett, May Breen and Geraldine Stanwick, sons-in-law; Kenny Moore & Fred Mahoney.

Pauline and her husband were local business owners, including Somers Refrigeration, Ashby Convenience, Mira Road Convenience and Ashby Laundromat. Pauline was a hard worker and instilled this in her children and grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to charity of choice.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A chapel ceremony will take place on Monday December 19 at 11 am at Resurrection Cemetery.
