IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Mary "Mamie" Sarah
Gouthro
October 24, 1929 – March 9, 2026
Our lives changed forever on March 9, 2026, with the passing of our dear mother Mary (Mamie) Gouthro. Born in Gardiner Mines to the late Charles and Lillian (Johnson) Boutilier on October 24, 1929.
Mamie met and married her husband of 54 years Ronald (Rannie) Gouthro who preceded her in death.
Mamie lived a fulfilled life for 96 years and was able to remain in the family home until her passing. She took great pride in her home always cooking, baking, cleaning inside and gardening outside. She loved reading, bird watching from her kitchen window and all animals, but her favourite thing was spending time and catching up with her family and friends.
Mamie is also predeceased by her sister Jean O’Brien, brother Charles Boutilier, two sons David & Brian, daughter-in-law Edna and son-in-law Steve.
Mamie will be dearly missed by her family; son Darrell (with whom she shared a special bond), daughters Doreen (Robert) Lewis, Lorna (Allan) Colbourne, Cathleen MacKinnon, daughters-in-law Barbara and Donna, grandchildren Mark, Starlynn, Dawn, Tiffany, Matthew, Jennifer & Carly, Great-grandchildren Tiana, Damion, Randy, Ciera, Summer, Shoncy and Little Lily, great-great granddaughter Kinsley, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
She was the heart of our home and our family and will always be in our thoughts.
In honoring Mamie’s wishes, there will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA or a charity of your choice.
