Mary Alice (McEvoy) Daisley was carried home over the mist-covered mountains on the morning of January 14, 2026.
Mary Alice spent most of her life in Gray's Hollow, where she focused on family, land, and music. Her passion for picking blueberries and other fruits from the family orchard was well known. Music, however, was her true love—it ran deep in her veins and loud in her heart. Her soulful, profound voice was heard and cherished by people both near and far.
Mary Alice worked as a store clerk and as a personal caregiver to many, including her beloved Aunt Jessie and Uncle Jim. She will be dearly missed by her husband Gerald; her children, Jessica (Jason), Rebecca (Trevor) Marica (Joey), Geraldine (Chad), and Nolan (Kyra); and her many beloved grandchildren.
Mary Alice often spoke of wanting to bring people together to play music. She did just that in her final hours, accompanied by local musicians, Trail Bound. She sang, she laughed, she cracked jokes-unmistakably herself. Her family extends their sincere thanks to the musicians for the beautiful music they shared.
The family also offers heartfelt thanks to Buchanan Memorial Hospital, especially the palliative care team, for their kindness, professionalism, and support during this difficult time.
A private service will be held in Gray's Hollow.
