It is with deep love and sadness that we the children announce the passing of our beloved mother Mary Alice Ash (Douglas), who passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, May 17, 2026.

Born on February 20, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Bridget and Oliver Douglas.

Remembering her with love are her children Paul (Laura), Karen and Glenn (Barbara); her grandchildren, Ayla, Jordan, Lisa, Krista, Kyle, Samantha and Brianna, as well as 12 great grandchildren, whom she adored.

Also surviving are her siblings Claude (Betty), Nancy, Brian and Judy (Daniel).

She was predeceased by her husband Maxwell, and siblings Johnnie, Olive and Sheila.

She will be lovingly remembered for her sense of humor, her made up bedtime stories, homemade cooking, endless supply of sweets and her goodie bag of treats for the great grandchildren. She always made people feel welcomed, loved and cared for. She enjoyed knitting, going for long drives and visits to Ben Eoin.

As per her wishes, there will be no service but a celebration of life will be held with family and friends at a later date.
