Margaret Buchanan

We are saddened to announce Margaret's passing on April 20, 2023 at the Northside Guest Home. Margaret grew up in North Shore, the daughter of the late Malcolm and Leta Dauphney.

Margaret is survived by her loving daughter Audrey (Richard) Cooke. She is also survived by grandsons Jason and Darren Cooke and great-granddaughter Addi.  Also surviving are her sisters Elizabeth (George) Jerrett, Neila Buchanan and brothers Allison and Aubrey (Shelia) Dauphney, sisters-in-law Annie Buchanan and Evelyn Moynes, who is also her best friend. 

Margaret is predeceased by her parents, her husband Jack Buchanan and brothers Lawrence and Kenny Dauphney, as well as in-laws George and Annie.

Ma's final resting place will be back in River Bennett, the place she loved the most.

Cremation has taken place under the guidance of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. A Funeral will be held at St. Annes Bay United Church on April 29, 2023 at 2pm, with a visitation starting at 1pm.
