Lillian (Lily) Erickson

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Lily Erickson on December 18, 2021 in her home in Sydney.   Lily Geraldine Erickson (McGarity) born February 7, 1947 in Cambridge-Narrows, Queens, Co. New Brunswick. She was the wife of the late Bob Erickson, daughter to the late John W. and Alice Dorothy McGarity.  Lily is survived by sons Robert (Cindy), Tommy (Joanne) .  Her three daughters Elizabeth (Steve) and twins Liz and Trisha (Chad) and grandchildren April, Robert, Jason, Rosalee, Emma, Isaiah, Theron, Gabriel, Willow, William and Alice and many great grandchildren along with her family in New Brunswick her brothers, Arthur (Myrna) McGarity, Donnie (Darlene) McGarity, Wayne (Shelly) McGarity , Paul (Sharon) McGarity Floyd (Brenda) McGarity, Robert (Marie) and her sisters Phylis (Murray) Pickett, Mary-Lou (Joe) Harris.   Bonnie and Bruce Cormier and Jenn Edwards and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her two brothers Doug and Junior McGarity also her sister Doreen Robichaud.

Our Mom loved to sit and play card games for hours, especially cribbage in person or online.  Mom's love for baking always meant we had something to snack on.  Mom would hide her scratch tickets on us girls so we wouldn't scratch them on her, lol.  You wouldn't see Mom without her cup of tea that she loved and enjoyed so much. The love our Mom showed her family was seen all over her home.   Mom also loved Elvis Presley so much.

We will miss you Mom, Sister, Grandmother and Aunt .

Cremation has taken place under the Care and Direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens
