Joseph “Wally” Wareham

April 9, 1949 – November 10, 2025

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph “Wally” Wareham, a deeply loved husband, father, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born on April 9, 1949, Wally grew up surrounded by a large and loving family. He was the cherished son of Evangeline and Daniel, and he is now reunited with them, along with his brothers Kevin, Danny, and Blair, who passed before him.

Wally leaves behind the love of his life, Bernadette, his devoted wife of 53 years. They married on February 26, 1972—a partnership built on loyalty, laughter, and deep affection. Together they raised two children who adored him: Wendy (Kyle) and Wally (Penny) He also leaves behind his best friend Jerome Burke and

Care Giver Kim LeForte all of whom he loved fiercely and unconditionally.

He is survived by his siblings Karen, Charlene, Evelyn, Gerard, Brian, and Greg, who will forever remember his determination, steadiness, and the way he always remained grounded in family.

He is also survived by many brother and sister in laws who have supported him by loving his family through all of the good times and most importantly the difficult times.

Wally carried deep pride in his military service. As a Master Corporal in the Airforce with the Canadian Armed Forces, he served his country with honour and dedication for over 20 years One of the accomplishments he spoke of most proudly was his peacekeeping tour in Cyprus, a role that shaped him and stayed with him throughout his life. He was a proud veteran, devoted to the principles of service, loyalty, and protecting others. His commitment to his country was a defining part of who he was.

Wally lived a life defined by simple pleasures and strong connections. His loyal dog Mindy will always hold a special place in his heart and is with him now. The Army Navy Airforce Unit 217 was like a second home—where he enjoyed a daily beer, good conversations, and the comfort of community.

He found joy in his garage, pride in his Kubota, and peace in the outdoors. Whether he was hunting, camping, or just sitting with the people he loved, Wally was happiest in moments of quiet connection and simple life's pleasures.

Above all else, he cherished his family. His joy came from simply being among them—sharing stories, laughing freely, playing cards, and dancing across the garage floor with his wife in the way only soulmates do.

Wally will be remembered for his kindness, humour, unwavering loyalty, and the strength of his heart. His presence will be missed beyond measure, and his memory will live on in all who loved him.
