Joseph Wayne Stewart

It is with great sadness that the family announces his sudden passing on November 20, 2023 at the age of 52.  He was the son of the late Gordon and Margaret Stewart.

He is survived by his two sons Mark and Alex and their mother Cherri, step-daughters; Hillary and Tasha, brothers; Russell, ON, Gordie (Michelle) Sydney Mines, Jimmy, ON, and sister Valerie (Brian) Tobin, Nieces; Alicia Margaret, Helen and Amy, nephews; Russell, Mathew Joseph, Tony, Andrew and Gregory, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Joe at a young age worked and made a life in Ontario with family and friends. The last 11 years he was living back home in Cape Breton.  Joe loved being around family and friends, laughing, joking and having a good time.

Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens.  There will be no visitation or service at Joe’s request. His remains will be at his sister Valerie’s home, any family or friends who wish to show last respects are welcomed to come Monday November 27^th, 2023 from 2 pm-4 pm.
