It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our brother Harold
"Hal" Stackhouse! He died peacefully, on June 30th 2020 at the Sydney
CBRH Cape Breton Nova Scotia, after a 2 year battle with cancer.
Harold was a furniture salesman for many years in Toronto ,Ontario and
Vancouver British Columbia, and returned to his native Nova Scotia and
Cape Breton about 4 years ago.
He is survived by his 3 older brothers, Roy, Wayne, Darrell, and
younger brother Garry and predeceased by his next older brother
Leslie. He is also predeceased by his Mother Florence Stackhouse (nee
McCarville) of Prince Edward Island, and his father Roy Stackhouse of
Halifax Nova Scotia. He is also survived by son Jason and his mother
His gregarious personality and sense of humour will be sadly missed by
his family, especially nieces, Lisa and Sheryl and many other nieces
and nephews!! He will also be sadly missed by his best friend of 60
years Curtis Clory and neighbour Les Skinner of Arichat, Cape Breton
The family would like to extend their gratitude to Doctor Cooper and
the nurses of the St.Marthas Hospital Antigonish Nova Scotia and also
Dr. Brandon McCarville and Dr. George Burns and nurses of Sydney Cape
Breton Regional Hospital for their excellent care and compassion.
Donations in Harold's name can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society
Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, cremation has been performed and a
private burial ceremony will take place at a later date. Many thanks
to Forest Haven Memorial Gardens for their services.
