Obituary

With broken hearts we announce the passing of our Dad, Grampy, Brother, and Uncle at home after a hard-fought battle with ALS.

Born in Belleoram Newfoundland to parents Conrad Mills and Dorothy Melita Mills (Drake)

Dad was predeceased by his parents as well as his son Cary, brothers Con, Ray, and Doug. Sisters Ellen (Nell), and Doris (Dos).

Dad is survived by his children, son John, Dartmouth. Daughters Lisa (James) Abbotsford BC, Tracy (Michael) River Hebert, Tania (Donald) Tracadie NB, Angela (James) Louisbourg.

Grandchildren Johnathan, Jalysa, Catlin, Ally, Jacquelyn, Morgan, Brooke, Skylar, and Hannah. 8 Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Also survived by his loving sisters Mary (Polly) Bucciarelli, Linda (Lynn) Mills and Cathy (Wayne) Magee

Dad lived a great life always working hard and volunteering in his community. He had a great sense of humor and was always up for a good joke. He wasn't happy unless he was teasing and picking at someone. What once was deemed annoying will now be terribly missed.

Dad was a wonderful cook being a chef by trade and he could make a seafood chowder that could win awards. Never needing a recipe, he cooked from his heart and he loved to cook for other people. He always made sure to put some of his meals aside and take some to his nephew Jeff up the road.

We will be deeply missing his home cooked meals.

Dad will be fondly remembered for the loving comfort he gave his family and we will cherish the memories we carry of him forever in our hearts.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no service at this time. The family will have a private family gathering at a later date.

Donations in Dads name can be made to the ALS society of Nova Scotia.
