It is with profound sadness that we, the family of Seward John Mackie, announce his sudden passing on Jan. 21, 2024. Seward was born to Thomas & Bertha (Andrews) Mackie on Oct. 1st, 1943 & resided in Gardiner Mines most of his life.

Seward worked as a skilled mason for many years, which included running his own business with cousin Harvey Mackie (deceased). He was often seen in his vintage car going to visit family, his good friends Dwight & Dave Little, birdwatching at River Ryan & Muddy Hole along with making trips to Tim Hortons.

Seward is survived by sons; Wesley, Tommy, & Shannon (Dawn Marie), mother of his children Vickie, all residing in Alberta, grandchildren; Rebecca, Sara, Isabella, Justin, Matthew & great-grandchild Austin David. He is also survived by siblings Evelyn, George, Anne, Brendan & Gail.

Along with his parents he is predeceased by brothers; Robert Joseph in infancy & Bobby, sisters; Louise, Leone & Heather.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Forest Haven Memorial Gardens with burial to take place at a later date. To express condolences, visit www.foresthaven.ca.
