James Ignatius Ratchford

James Ignatius Ratchford, born May 10, 1956, passed away peacefully, November 27, 2022.

Predeceased by his father John Murray Ratchford, Jimmy is survived by his mother, Donalda Ratchford, siblings Bernadette Hood (Gary), Dan Ratchford (Rosemarie) and Patrick Ratchford.  Also survived by his nieces and nephews Cassandra (Brad), Gillian (Drew), Kyle, Alexandra (Jordan), Nicholas (Jodie), Valerie, and many, many extended family members.

A retired member of the RCAF, Jim was a very active member of the community. He volunteered with the Kinsmen Club and served as president on two occasions. He was a member of the Army, Navy, & Airforce club branch 217 and was a past Sergeant-at-Arms. Jim has been a continuous member for over 30 years a the Canadian Legion branch 15 and for many years donated his time to the Terry Fox Foundation. Jimmy’s immediate family would like to extend their gratitude to his extended family and friends for their support, as well as the many health care providers that touched his life over the years.

 A celebration of life and memorial service will be announced at a later date.
