Hurbert Rhymes

It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, and brother, Hubert G Rhymes at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on November 22nd. Hubert was the son of the late Harold and Bertha (Cake) Rhymes. He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Shelley, Son in law Philip, grandson’s Coady, Darion and Nicholas, sister Shirley, Brother David, sisters-in-law’s Connie, Muriel, Ann, Linda and Rose. Brother-in-law’s Baxter and Bud. Special nieces and Nephews, Shaun, Shannon, Melody, Crystal, Melanie, Lena, Kim, Robert, Scott, Jason, Aubrey, Steve, Stewart, and Lillian. Many grand nieces and nephews who he loved tremendously. Hubert worked on the steel plant from 1969 till it’s closing in 2000. He was predeceased by his Father Harold, Mother Bertha, brothers Wally, Ray, Don, Claude and Harold, sister Mary, Brothers-in-laws Mick, Gerald and Frank and Harry; sister-in-laws Daisy and Dot; nephew Glen and a niece Sandy. At Hubert’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral, cremation has taken place.
