Gloria Mae MacLean

With heavy hearts, we the family of Gloria Mae MacLean (MacLeod), announce her passing on January 30, 2026. Gloria was the daughter of the late Finley and Florence MacLeod (Davey) of Wallace Road, Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. She was lovingly raised by her aunts and uncles: Josie, Winnie, Reggie and Clifford Davey.

Gloria will be greatly missed by her husband of 67 years, Raymond (Bonick) MacLean; Daughter Susan (Philip Woodill); Son, Douglas McLean; Sister-in-law, Minnie McLean; Nieces: Debbie Tighe, Denise Ruelland, Danielle Tighe, Daisy McLean, Joy MacLeod and Starla MacLeod.

Gloria was predeceased by her son, Raymond Joseph McLean; her niece, Darlene Leudey, her Sister, Dorothy Jane Ruelland/Joseph Ruelland; her mother, Florence MacLeod; her father, Finlay MacLeod; aunts and uncles, as noted above.

As a member of Our Lady of Fatima Church, Gloria enjoyed church activities and singing in the 4:15 mass choir. She was also a CWL member and a member of the Little Flower of Mount Carmel.

Gloria was also a member of Branch 12 Ladies Auxiliary. Gloria was greatly loved and will be missed by her husband, family members, and many friends.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Sydney River.
