Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of George Fredrick Faulkner, a beloved father, grandfather, friend, and valued member of his community.

George was a man whose presence could light up any room. Known for his laughter, humour, and positive outlook on life, he had a special way of making people feel welcome and bringing smiles to those around him. His warmth and easygoing nature touched the lives of many, leaving behind countless memories that will be cherished for years to come.

Throughout his life, George was a dedicated and hardworking man who served as a custodian at numerous businesses throughout the Cape Breton region, including several schools on the Northside. Through his work, he became part of the fabric of the community, contributing quietly and faithfully to the places and people around him.

George was also an active member of the Sydney Mines Legion, Branch 008, where he enjoyed the fellowship and camaraderie of his fellow members. An avid dart player, he enjoyed the friendly competition and friendships that came with the game, creating lasting memories along the way.

Above all, George will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others. Whether sharing a laugh, enjoying a game of darts, spending time with friends, or simply brightening someone’s day, he had a gift for making ordinary moments special.

George leaves behind his loving children, Kevin Faulkner (Krista), Joanie Faulkner, and Sonya, along with his son-in-law, Patrick. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Clayton Baker, Myla Faulkner, and Greyson Faulkner, who will forever hold a special place in their hearts for him.

His passing leaves a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him. While he may no longer be with us, his laughter, kindness, and positive spirit will live on in the memories he leaves behind.

George will be deeply missed by his many friends and family, as well as all those whose lives he touched throughout his years.

Though his laughter may be silent, the joy he brought to others will never fade. He will be forever loved, remembered, and missed.
