Pottie, Francis Joseph age 91 of L’Ardoise, a resident of Richmond Villa St. Peter’s for the past 2 years, passed on October 7th 2026. Born in L’Ardoise, a son of the late George and Catherine Pottie.

He was raised with his brothers Richard, Victor, Leory, Lauchie, Joseph, Cyril and sisters Cecelia, Jane and Cassie.

Francis worked doing Heavy Garbage collection for 25 years. He was a devout Catholic and loved going for daily walks. Francis was known for his love of music, family and his friends.

Cremation has taken placed and burial will take place at a later date. Donations in Francis’ memory can be made to Richmond Villa in St. Peter’s where he was well cared for by the nurses and staff.
