Boudreau, Ethel Monica aged 79 of Egan Street, Sydney Mines

It is with great sadness that we the family of Ethel Boudreau announce her passing on August 20, 2020 at the Northside General Hospital, with family by her side after a brief illness.

Born in New Waterford, she was a daughter of the late Margaret May (Hawkins) and the late Alexander Marshall Harris. Ethel was raised by the late Hilda and Jack McKay who loved and raised her as their own.

Ethel will be lovingly remembered by her children Bryson Kernick, Dartmouth; Monica (Rick) Kokoski, Whitney Pier; Joseph (Linda) Kernick, D’Escousse; Gerard Boudreau, Sydney Mines; Richard (Rebecca) Boudreau, Canning, Annapolis Valley; sisters Lillian (Graeme) Harris, Perry Sound, On; Eleanor, California; Colleen (David) Oliver, Bras D’or; as well as a brother Arthur Harris, Barrie, On. She will be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren Joey, Bradley,Shailyn, Brittany, Ashley and Amber. Also her great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, all her dear friends and the Cape Breton Deaf Association.

Ethel was predeceased by her husband Luke Boudreau; her parents & step parents; sister Irene of Truro; brother Percy, Kakabeka Falls, On; sister-in-law Bernice Harris and brothers-in-law Thomas Gloade and Joseph Kavanagh.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the doctors and nurses of both the Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional and Northside General Hospitals.

Cremation has taken place and a time to gather to celebrate Ethel’s life will be announced at a later date.
