Dougal MacIntyre

The family of Dougal MacIntyre announces his passing at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Monday, February 17, 2025. Dougal was born on January 17, 1938, in Benacadie to the late Joseph and Mary (Campbell) MacIntyre. Dougal leaves behind his son, Francis (Michelle) and daughter, Carole, his grandchildren, Jen and Hunter; brother Michael, Massachusetts, USA; sister, Leona (Norm) MacIntyre; sister-in-law, Theresa Doucette, Sydney and Mary MacNeil, North Sydney; and many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

Besides his parents, Dougal was predeceased by his sisters, Peggy MacDonald and Catherine Farrell, his brothers, Donnie MacNeil and Frank Doucette, sister-in-law, Anne MacIntyre, and brother-in-law Laughie MacDonald.

Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation or service. A family internment will be held at a later date.
