Clifford John Dawson

It is with immense sadness that we announce the death of our beautiful Dad, Clif Dawson, on January 25, 2024. Clif passed away peacefully in his sleep, in the company and love of his two daughters at Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Clif was a father and grandfather, husband, son, brother and uncle; a pilot; an award winning craftsman, a carver, builder, fixer, and inventor; a survivalist and wild man. He loved making people laugh with his sly and mischievous sense of humour and was always happy to exchange knowledge or help out with a project. Clif was a contributor to various Pietenpol and small aircraft builder forums and an active member of the RAA Chapter 85.

Clif is survived by friends, family and acquaintances, including his daughters Willow Dawson (Derek) and Shayla Dawson (Jason); his four grandchildren (ages 2-9); his ex-wife Karen Sobiecki (b.Wilson), her partner and his close friend, John Sobiecki; his niece and nephews Michael, Nyky, Harley, and their families. Clif was predeceased by his parents Hal and Reva (Lansberry) Dawson, his sister Robyn, and his baby Spring.
