Catherine (Kay) McJannet

Age 89, daughter of the late John and Annie Deyoung (Pomquet), passed away peacefully at home in Marion Bridge with family by her side.  She is survived by children, Lynn (Walter) Howley, Michael (Jane), Christine (Saul), Stuart, Valerie (Arneldo) Peori, and Eric.  Grandchildren, Sherry, Shannon, David, Cheryl, Erika, and Jessica.  Great Grandchildren, twins Ellie & Harper, Brayden, and Lincoln.  Also survived by brother, Bernard, Antigonish.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Eric, brothers Wallace, Clement, Joseph, and Francis, sisters Jane, Rita, and Irene.

Heartfelt appreciation to Dr.'s Ian Doyle and Matthew Ernst, the palliative care team, and VON.

There will be no visitation.  Cremation has taken place.  A private family service will take place at Sacred Heart Church, 102 Trout Brook Rd., Marion Bridge, NS, on Wednesday, March 18 at 10:30 a.m.

Memorial donations may be made to the Cape Breton Palliative Care Unit, and/or VON.
