It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, sister, nana and friend.

Our Mom was a very strong willed, stubborn, said what was on her mind kind of gal. You never had to guess what she was thinking, she told you.

She never missed an occasion, a card game, a phone call or most recently a video call or text.

Once you met Joan, you were a friend forever. She would do without to provide for her family & friends.

She loved her fur babies Maggie & Holly, The Blue Jays, bowling and her Timmies.

She is survived by her loving husband Art, sons Jason (Charlene) and Kyle. Loving grandchildren & great grandchildren, sisters Maureen (Michael), Pauline and Geraldine, her lifelong partner in crime her Bestie Debi and many nieces and nephews.

Joan was predeceased by her son Trevor, parents Leonard & Catherine Carey, brothers Michael, Brian & sisters-in-law Natalie as well as mother and father-in-law Val and Teresa Rideout.

At Joan’s request there will be no visitation or service. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Georges River Firehall on Friday, October 9 from 1-4pm.
