Catherine McLean

April 8, 1934 — February 15, 2024

Howie Center

The family of Catherine ‘Kay’ McLean, sadly announce her passing on February 15, 2024 at the age of 89.  She was born on April 8th, 1934 to Josef Seromski and Annie (Lukow) Seromski. Catherine was the last surviving member of her immediate family, being predeceased by her husband of 61 years, James ‘Junior’ McLean, brother Michael Seromski, sisters; Marie Curl, Sophie Service and Olga Stroud.

She is survived by her two sons, Ernie (Cathy) McLean, and Robert McLean. Two daughters, Ann (Kenneth) Pettipas and Cathy (Don) Wichinski. Five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Her life and joy were talking to people about God's Kingdom and the paradise earth, soon to come. Her favorite scriptures from the Bible were John 5:28,29 and Revelation 21:3,4, talking constantly about the resurrection of people from the dead to live forever on earth, very soon.  This was her strong faith until she passed, being one of Jehovah's Witnesses for over 60 years.

We thank all those who helped in her care.  She appreciated very much her homecare workers for many years.  The Doctors, Nurses and Sitters at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, they were very kind to her.

There will be no visitation.  A memorial talk will be given on Saturday, February 24th, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 36 Quilty Ave, North Sydney, N.S. and via zoom at 2pm.
