Bernard "Buddy" Gerard Penney

With much sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Bernard “Buddy” Penney, surrounded by the love of his family, on January 16, 2026 at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. He was the son of the late Melvin and Trudy Penney.

Buddy was a kind hearted, well-liked and respected person in his community. He loved his truck, his cars and his trailer and especially his New Waterford Hawks fast ball team. Buddy was a proud founding member of the 14-yard reunion.

Buddy is survived by his children: Christopher (Jillian) and Kyle, his sister and best friend Melissa, brothers; Michael Webber and John “Mingy” (Caroline), his grandchildren Brynlee and Aleeah, nieces and nephews Brooklyn, Paige, Rob, Dan, god-daughter Katie, grand-nieces and nephews Sawyer, Tyra, Ashton, Aiden and Avaiah. Buddy also leaves behind the mother of his children Wendy Penny (Kevin “Crunch”) and his special uncle Kevin (Laurie). Buddy will be fondly remembered by his friends; Albert & Sharon Dupe, Krista, Annie and Lynn as well as his mother-in-law June and sister-in-law Jennifer.

Aside from his parents, Buddy is predeceased by his spouse Lynn Penney-Webb, sister Heather Webber, nanny Gloria and his nephews Evan and Johnathan.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital; 2nd floor for the compassionate care they showed to Buddy in his final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Buddy on Wednesday, January 21st from 6-8pm at the French Club in New Waterford.
