It is with great sadness that we, the family, regret to announce the passing of our mother Amy Lorrie Linkletter. Amy left us on May 20, 2024 at the young age of 56. She was taken far too soon.
Amy faced her own challenges, but through the teachings of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah, she found solace and a renewed sense of purpose. Her faith became a guiding light, illuminating her path and instilling in her a steadfast commitment to service and compassion.
Amy loved having a campfire with good friends and good music. She was always entertaining, singing songs for everyone to enjoy. This is a love she passed on to her children. She had a kind heart and she was always helping others. She would give someone the shirt off her back if she thought it would help them.
Amy is predeceased by her mother Anne, beloved grammy Emily and 2 brothers Billy and James. Amy is survived by her father, William, brother Timmy, sister Katie, her children Lucas, Shaylin, Samantha (James), Hunter and Noah as well as her grandchildren Ally, Erik and Faye.
As we bid farewell to Amy, let us remember her for the beauty she brought into our lives through her music, her faith and her love. Though she may have left our sight, her spirit will continue to resonate in the melodies she cherished and the love she shared.
Cremation has taken place and a service will be held on June 1st at 2pm at 786 Alexandra Street, Sydney, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah. There will be a live zoom stream for anyone unable to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Sydney Transition House.
