KINSLOW, Ernest Victor It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest Victor Kinslow on August 10, 2019 at the age of 79. Ernie was a member of the Canadian Guards from 1957-1960. He worked as a furnace operator in Ontario, a coal miner in Alberta and as a foreman with Homco Mobile Homes Ltd. in Ontario, before coming back home to Glace Bay. He then returned to commercial fishing as skipper of his own fishing vessel. He enjoyed hunting and was an avid fly fisherman. Ernie is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marion (Stevenson); children, Steven (Annette), Ronald (Betty Anne), all in Ontario, Karen (Curtis), Valerie (Robert), all of Glace Bay and Arlene (David) of New Waterford; grandchildren, Katelyn, Christine, Marcus, Jamie, Michael, Sean and Elizabeth; sister, Mary (William), and brother, Russell (Eileen). Predeceased by parents, Harold and Rosie (Gilmet) and sister, Donna. There will be no visitation. Cremation has taken place. Interment of ashes and graveside service will be held in Beachburg, Ontario at a later date. We wish to thank the V.O.N. nurses, also the doctors and nurses in the Emergency, Surgical and Palliative Care Units. In memory of Ernie, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
